FRAME DESIGN

The best thing is for you to come by. When you visit us on site, you can get inspiration from many examples and get advice from us. You are also welcome to test drive a test model.  It is important to us to find out something about your riding style and the character of your future Zurigo. Race, adventure, touring, commuting...what suits you? Do you know your ideal saddle height, your preferred handlebar width and your seat length? Then choose a standard frame from the geometry table and let us know what we can build for you. You don't have an answer to any of these questions? No problem. Together we will find the solution in bike fitting. The frame will be perfectly adapted to your body and your riding style. If you are unable to come by, we can also give advice by email, WhatsApp or telephone. Whatever you prefer.

WHAT MAKES ZURIGO SPECIAL

Every detail on the Zurigo is well thought out and serves a specific purpose.

IMG_8800 2.JPG
  • Tapered fork steerer for precise braking and steering.

  • 50mm tire clearance so you can mount a wide range of different tire widths.

  • Smaller frames can be equipped with smaller wheels so that you do not hit your feet when turning and the frame geometry remains the same as the larger models

  • Very tensile COLUMBUS Life tube set so that the power is transmitted without much loss

  • Saddle clamp at the front so that as little moisture as possible penetrates the opening and the frame can be cut deep at the rear. This allows an even more extended seat post while still maintaining a moderate top tube slope of 8°.

  • Long and slim 27.2mm seat post to absorb shocks and relieve pressure on the lower back.

  • 74.5° steeper seat tube angle so that a seat post with 15 - 25mm setback can be mounted. More setback equals more flex and therefore more comfort.

  • T47/68 bottom bracket standard so that all axles fit without compromise. Of course with a milled internal thread so that the bottom bracket sits correctly.

  • UDH dropouts so you can also mount SRAM transmission gears directly.

  • CERAKOTE paint. Only 0.025mm of ceramic coating is on the Zurigo. Extremely rust-resistant and very scratch-resistant are the main attributes of Cerakote. You can choose from a wide range of colors.

FLEX VERSUS STIFFNESS

Experience has shown that if it's too stiff it's uncomfortable to ride and makes you tire more quickly. And of course it's too soft. You need something in between. The flex of the frame should make the bike supple and overcome the dead point when pedaling as best as possible.  Especially in the all-road area, where the road surface and the type of riding are constantly changing, high lateral flex in the bottom bracket area is crucial for the riding feel.  The ZURIGO was designed so that this flex is really noticeable and the bike feels fast and light.  In Expressed in watt ranges: If you pedal between 100 and 250 watts on average, then the ZURIGO concept is exactly right for you. If you pedal over 250 watts on average, then we have another solution for you.
